Our IT Service Area in NYC and Remote Service Locations

What service locations do you cover?

Remote support can be completed from anywhere in the world where you have an internet connection. We have helped clients living or traveling in the U.S., Europe, Asia, Central and South America, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Israel. Convenient remote assistance is available on home or office devices in our NYC metro service areas, as well.

Our in-person onsite service call territory includes:

A travel fee will be added for these locations:

I work from home sometimes. Do you make house calls?

Yes. GEEK-AID® can complete onsite repairs in your office, home or hotel in any of our aforementioned New York City metro area locations. There is no need to disconnect or carry items to a repair shop. Our technicians are mobilized and stocked and arrive with the tools and parts necessary for most repairs. If a new part must be ordered from the manufacturer, we manage this for you. Remote virtual repair sessions can be initiated anywhere with an internet connection.

Are your technicians insured?

All of our technicians arrive at your site in uniform. They are fully insured with Workman’s Comp, errors and omissions insurance and general and professional liability coverage. Our techs have the required coverage to work in nearly every commercial building in Manhattan. The vast majority of our technicians have four-year degrees in computer science. Continuous manufacturers’ training, certification updates and exams are required.

Understanding Computer Repair and IT Services

What repair options do you offer? Do you offer iPhone mobile repair?

Repairs can be done virtually (over the phone or via remote access sessions) or in person. Some repairs must be done onsite, such as physical repairs and installations. Many repairs and services can be done remotely and do not require a site visit. Our technicians are outfitted for mobile laptop, computer and phone diagnosis and repairs.

How do virtual computer support sessions work?

Many computer and device issues can now be resolved using remote support sessions. These virtual help sessions are the fastest and most cost-effective way to fix computer issues. Here’s how it works:

Computer Repair Appointments and Preparing for IT Service Calls

Do I need to disconnect my device and bring it to you?

No, all of our services are performed virtually or at your home, office or hotel location. Sometimes, the issue is with a connection, not with the device.

How do I pay for computer repairs?

GEEK-AID® accepts all major credit cards (Visa, Amex, MC, Diners, JCB) and will accept existing customers' checks. Our technicians do not accept cash.

How long do repairs take to complete?

Most device repairs take less than one hour. Of course, it depends on the problem. Data or account recovery, network connectivity and email issues take somewhat longer, and a hard drive crash could take several hours to resolve.

How quickly do you arrive for service?

Eighty-two percent of our service calls are completed the same day.
